These rules are very standard, very universal, so the people who know how to behave should not have a problem, and can skip most of the first portion that applies to the whole board, if they desire (just look at the titles). The rest, however, concerns RPing, and has to be read. I'll know if you haven't - General Rules
- Respect everyone.
- My number one rule on this entire site is to be respectful to each other. If you do so, I'm happy =)
- No Chatspeak in Posts
- If I see it, I will frown and throw a dictionary at you. I don't mind if it's in chat, but don't get excessive.
- Limited Profanity
- Self explanatory, so please use your best judgment.
- Advertising and Affiliates
- Anyone looking to advertise their board or to be affiliated with us may go to the Advertise and Affiliates board located on the main page. Please read all of the instructions to go about affiliating your board, because affiliating with my site is slightly strict, so please read everything.
- Role Play Rules
- Literate to Advance RPer
- As this is an Advance RP, I'm looking for Advance RPers. If you're Literate and trying to become an Advance, you're more than welcome to join. If you're a Beginner but interested in gaining experience to become an Advance RPer, you're more than welcome to join too.
- Meet It or Beat It
- No, I'm not talking about meeting someone or you have to beat the guests. I'm referring to posting. When people are posting, they don't like to think of word counts, and such, and for this RP, there are no word counts for your posts. The word counts that are here are only for profile requirements, and that's about it. What I do ask you all to do, however, is to either meet what your posting partner has given you, or exceed what they have done. Say one person posts a 500 word post, and the next who replyes only gives 100 words; you'd be kinda annoyed if you had posted 500 words and were given so little in return. As common curtsy to your fellow RPers, be as devoted, or more devoted, to what you write for your partner as they would for you. That way they can do the same for you. This way, everyone's happy (hopefully). Now if you post so much that it's hard to keep up all the time, don't worry about it. If your partner is happy, you'll be happy (again, at least I hope you will be =)).
- This is a Bleach RP, so know your setting
- I will admit that I don't know everything that there is to know about Bleach, but if I do want to find out about something, I go to the Bleach Wiki page to find out. I highly recommend if you decide to join to have read (my preference) or watched most of the series, or both, for then you will have a much better understanding of the universe. If you don't have time currently, reading the other threads here will do for now =)
- Make Logical Posts
- Sometimes posts don't sound right, so if anyone has questions, answer them as best you can and see if you can clarify what the post is about. Best place to do that would be the chat. That way, we can get a response quickly (we hope quickly, unless you're like me: I'll sometimes be signed online and not at the computer when I'm actually asleep)
- Keep everything PG-13
- With the TOS, everything must be PG-13 and I'm not about to argue with them. The idea of what is and is not considered PG-13, however, is debatable. If you've seen it in a movie that is rated PG-13, use your best judgments about whether or not to write about it. Posts that are a stretch of the rating will be handled on a case by case basis. And as a given, no descriptions of sex. If characters do fall in love, and want to get pregnant (characters can get pregnant), skip to the black screen. While some of us may like sex, we just don't want to see you have it.
- Any sexuality is allowed
- Any Romance is allowed, meaning that any sexuality is allowed as well, such as homosexuality and bisexuality. If you do not agree, this RP is not for you, and I will not tolerate any harassment towards my members who feel they can be whoever they want to be.
- Please use correct punctuation
- It's difficult to read a post that is not punctuated correctly, so please do so. I've had one person not use a single period in his entire one thousand word post, so for all our sanity (or insanity), please use periods! x.x I'm not big on correct spelling, because we have the internet, so it's easy to correct.
- Godmoding (Forbidden); Powerplaying (also Forbidden)
- You should already be aware of Godmoding (characters with god-like powers) and Powerplaying (controlling another person's character), and here, they are frowned upon. I can only think of a few acceptable cases of Godmoding: where you have an extremely powerful character up against an extremely weak character. Other than that, I don't want to see it, and even then, I don't want to see it. Arcs are the only times really where the villains I place against people will be overly powerful, so I don't want to see any of it from other people. So in general, use common sense. As for Powerplaying, this is forbidden too, no exception, end of story, unless given permission that can be verified.
- Your character can die
- While some people RP differently than others, in this RP, your characters can die, no matter their level or station (unless they're needed for plot purposes concerning the entire site, and in such cases, they will be handled on a case by case basis). However, characters cannot be killed within the first three months that they are made on the site. It would upset quite a few people if their new character, that they have been working on for days, is killed the next day after approval. There are ways to have it to where your character won't die, by avoiding combat, or escaping from a conflict. Unreasonable, or forced deaths, despite pleas from the player that they don't want their character killed, will be frowned upon and likely appealed. Deaths can be appealed, yes. For myself, I frown upon deaths, as it is just wasted effort on the player's part if they spent time on a profile, and find they haven't done everything they could with them. So until further notice, deaths are frowned upon, though they can happen.
- Only one account for all characters
- Some people like making multiple accounts for different characters. I personally don't, because it clutters the number of accounts and gives a false first impression of member activity. I'll make it easy for people who feel not using multiple accounts will make it confusing about who has which character, so please don't worry.
- Every character can only be in one thread at a time
- I like it when a character's timeline is consistent, so every character can only be in one thread at a time. Please note that you will be responsible for adding additional information to your character's history as they progress through the RP. If the thread is inactive for one full week from the last post (and time), you can end the thread or get your character out of it however you see fit, so long as it doesn't result in harming another person's character. Unfinished threads will not be counted and be considered invalid toward your character's history. A thread is finished when all characters leave it, or when you leave the thread if comes from your perspective. I want the timeline of this RP to be consistent, so each person will be responsible for their own character. Anything you don't document correctly isn't going to be counted: end of discussion.
- After each Arc, please update your profiles
As a last note before people go off to make their characters, I hope you all have a fantastic time here with us, and be with us throughout our hardships (and constant troubles...like not enough sleep >.>)
